The semester began with a series of
readings as well as a very interesting novel. The readings followed a theme of personal experience and public relevance. This was a rather new concept for me, so I would have to pay close attention to truly understand it. Each reading seemed to be someone's account, author or not, of a personal experience. This is when I first began to understand how to connect a personal experience to a larger group.
