After a few storytellings, during which
Luo's talent shone, the headman of the village decided to send Luo and the narrator to Yong Jing to see a cinema and then retell it to the rest of the villagers. When the two friends went to the vilage, they watched the film twice, just to be on the safe side. When they returned to the village, they re-enacted the scenes in front of everyone. Luo was in his own world there, and transformed himself into
a masterful orator, while the narrator (ironicaly) had to contend with mechanically reciting the plot. In the end, the oral cinema was a success, and the two were commanded to do the same for the
next show.
