Four eyes is a
friend of the two main characters at the beginning of the story. They all were sent to the mountain to be re-educated. The village that Four eyes lives in is very hard and he is required to do more work than Luo and the Narrator's village. Four Eyes' parents are writers. They know much about literature and creative writing. Four eyes possesses a secret suitcase that he keeps locked and hidden from everyone else. The narrator suspects that secret book propaganda is in the suitcase. This, later, turns out to be the truth.
