The characters in this story are very important to the plot, but interestingly enough, the only character thus far who is given a name is
Luo, the narrators best friend. Some other important characters from this excerpt are:
The Little Chinese SeamstressThe TailorThe HeadmanThe Famous Dentistthe narratorFour eyesNow that I have finished the book, I have gained some important information.
The Little Chinese Seamstress has changed a lot throughout the book. Her father,
The Tailor, however, has stayed a very small part of this novel.
The Headman, although having a small part, almost changed
the Narrator's life for the bad, but
Luo helped him escape that situation. Although it seemed that
the famous dentist would play an important role in the story, the characters seemed to refrain from talking of their parents.
Four-Eyes left the mountain because his mother was able to convince the government to end his reeducation. And, finally, The Narrator, although he had said that he wasn't as good a story teller as Luo, clearly showed his talents simply by narrating this book.
