The Little Chinese Seamstress is the daughter of the best tailor on the mountain. She is usually confined to her home when her father goes out on trips to tailor clothing for various towns. When she first meets Luo and the narrator they become friends, and she takes Luo in when he falls ill with malaria. She begins to fall in love with Luo and kisses him as he falls asleep.
