As Nick watched from afar, he wondered how they could not see the
error in letting the Eagle pay for their mistakes. He guessed it was
because he and Jay were not natives that they would never understand. Even though it
was the partygoers own fault for eating and drinking far too much sugary items, they
never took responsibility for it. Instead, the Eagle swooped in and made
everything better again. And no one ever thanked him because it was what he
did. The Eagle was always there to make everything better. The only person to
notice this problem was Nick Starling, and no one would listen to such a small
bird from Europe criticize their way of life.
