The Party
At first nobody came. Marco was afraid because of the party he had heard about on the other side of town. But it turned out that everybody had just gotten a late start, and pretty soon the place was packed. Marco hadn’t written “forward widely” at the end of his email, but some guests had gone ahead and done it. Even Marco’s ex-girlfriend came. Margo gave her a wide berth. Marco smiled to himself when he saw them accidentally pushed together in the hallway. It was so awkward. Just then Hedda breathed into his ear and asked him what he was grinning about. Marco said “nothing.”
