The Habits of Mind are very important when students are learning about history, the question is which Habit of Mind is most useful for readers when learning about history. Most readers do not believe every text they read, but some do. But some believe the first text they read, simply because they are in print. Those people, if they continue their ignorance, will not learn history the way it really happened, because they will believe all of what they read, even the sources that are unreliable. Thats why "Evidence" is the most important Habit of MInd, for readers. This is because evidence helps readers decipher what is true and what is false in historical text.
