One day Hannah sat down with Maddy. Hannah was 12 and she could do almost anything on the beam."Maddy," said Hannah, "I've watched you do cartwheels everywhere. You have beautiful cartwheels. You just have to have a little trust in yourself. You have to say, 'I can do it!' Come on, I'll help you."
So Hannah helped Maddy. She made Maddy do her cartwheels on a line on the floor. Then she made her do them on the practice beam. And every time Maddy got ready to do a cartwheel, Hannah told her to whisper, "I can do it" to herself.
The Power of Positive Thinking
Just do it!
You may not be the winner, but there is a winner inside you!
Atta girl!
Go hard or go home.
Like ya can!
You can't do anything by doing nothing.
Way to go!
Winner never quit and quitters never win.
Stick it!
The only one who can tell you you can't is you. And you don't have to listen.
If you think you can or can't, you're right!
You get good at what you practice.
