Speaking of crap, did you ever look at someone's house before they had
a baby and then again right after? When I came home from the hospital
with my first, I didn't even have
a place to lay him down (he was four
weeks early). A week later, I couldn't find my living room floor!
Think about what babies need - first a bassinet, then very quickly a
crib, baby seat, stroller, swing, toys, bottles, changing tables,
wipes, diapers, diaper pails, bouncy seat, bath seat - where do you put
all this stuff? My living room looked like a Babies-R-Us exploded! If you don't have closet space or
an attached garage, everything has to live in
your living room. Is
that why it's called a
living room
? Why does an eight pound human require more space than a 200 pound man?
I'm telling you that being a mom is a great thing, but boy, you need a lot of patience, lots of space and lots of extra time.
