I wonder if this type of experience was what my mother felt when she would take me back to school shopping. I don't think I may have made the experience for her as enjoyable as it was for me because I used to whine and have an attitude with her decision making on what she'd bought for me. However, I wonder if she felt any satisfaction as a full time mom when taking me to stores and getting me what I needed. Did she feel just as proud? I recall us laughing at times and showing frustration at times when I would pick something out that she would not want to buy. Now that I think of it, I hope that what I had picked out wasn't something that she couldn't afford. I wonder if I had made her feel bad about it.
