Present:
Charley, Willy and Linda's neighbor, shows up after hearing all of the shouting and noise. He is there to "tire Willy out" by playing cards. Nobody in the Loman home is surprised by Charley's willingness to stop over so late in the evening, leading the audience to realize that Charley is a welcomed visitor in their home. From what the audience learns later, Charley has taken the responsibility of taking care of Willy and Linda in more ways than the family realizes.
