WHO tried to stop the Holocaust?
A single man named Jan Karski
tried to stop the Holocaust. Jan Karski
was a Polish citizen and he was Jewish.
Karskis first eyewitness report against the Polish Jews to the west in
February 1940. Jan Karski was tone of
the first to witness the Germans practicing abuse to the Polish Jews in
February in 1940. Jan Karski was
captured by the Nazis and Karski was worried that the Nazis would extract
answers from him, so he attempted suicide.
Karski faked to near death and went to a hospital; he was freed by an
underground team of commandos. The
German Nazis took revenge for the escape, and killed 35 people whom had
absolutely nothing to do with the escape.
Stephen E. Wood wrote a book to make sure that someone cries for help
should never be ignored like that again.
