1. What happened in the
concentration camps?
Almost
20,000 concentration camps were set up at the time of the Holocaust. The
primary function of these camps was to hold Jew for extermination of mass
murder. The concentration camps that the Jews were placed in were surrounded
with barbed wire and tall fences. Each family had a box that they were placed
in. sometimes the Jews were illegally killed.
Each day the Jews were worked very hard and sometimes worked to the
death. They were punished and whipped daily. These people placed in these camps
were starved, under exhausting labor conditions and high to low temperature
ranges. Almost 6 million Jews were killed in these camps.
