The
concentration camps that the Jewish people were sent to, were also known as " Death Camps." They were tortured, and put to work. They were put here because of their looks and their religion. They were killed by poising gas, and being tested with medicines. There were piles of dead bodies everywhere. It was a very sad sight for the people. Not all of the people in these camps were fully Jewish though. These people were called
Mischlinge. These people were split into two groups. The first degree and the second degree. The first degree were people that had two Jewish grandparents. The second degree were the people with only one Jewish grandparent.
