The holocaust started in 1938 and ended in 1945 during World War 2. On Jan 30, 1933 Hitler was made Chancellor. On Aug 2, 1934 the German President von Hindenburg died and Hitler becomes Führer, or leader of Germany. In the winter of 1941, about 100,000 Jews were killed. In 1942 to 1944 the Jews resisted captivation by any means necessary. In 1945 the Allies intervened and saved the Jews.
