As soon as what Daisy had said registered in Tom's mind, he stood up from his chair, his face
red with fury. Daisy winced as he came close to her. "What do mean you love him? How long have you been seeing this man?!" Tom yelled in her ear.
"I've known him for five years, Tom. He's come back for me and I love him! And he loves me!" Daisy ran to the couch and began sobbing into a pillow.
