The 1920's was also known as the Roaring 20's. Many advances in
technology were made and people had an excessive amount of money due to
the thriving stock market. Unfortunately, the 1920's is also know for
the generation it bred, or the "Lost Generation" as it has come to be
known by.
The name, "Lost Generation", refers to the fact
that many people were living without purpose and meaning and even more
had lost their sense of morals. It is these traits of the 1920's that
are prevalent throughout the book, "The Great Gatsby".
