Gatsby knocked on the door, a butler answered the door and Gatsby asks
if he could please speak with the Buchanan's. The butler showed Gatsby
inside and the door slammed behind him. I waited outside on the
walkway for a little bit when I started to hear
yelling coming from
inside the house. I could hear Gatsby yelling something and suddenly I
heard a
couple loud bangs from inside the house followed by a shriek. I
quickly ran towards the door and heard another loud bang, when I opened
the door I saw Gatsby hovering over the dead bodies of Daisy and Tom.
He turned towards me and pointed the
gun to his head and muttered in a
shaky voice, "
If I can't have her, no one can. I'm sorry, Old Sport."
At that point in time I tried to say goodbye but it was
too late.
He
shot himself and toppled over the two bodies beneath him. I stood
there, dumbstruck and said, "so this is the great Gatsby."
