The End

It really was a terrible situation, but I could not get myself to enter the room. I stood out there, knowing that Daisy did deserve all this. It seemed like Tom had calmed down a bit so I decided to leave their house. There was going to be a huge mess in the end after this fight, and I did not want to be a part of their quarrel, so I gathered my belongings and took the first plane home.
That was two years ago. After Tom abandoned her in the streets of France, she tried to fend for herself. It seemed a possible feat until today. As news of the economic downfall circulated, I thought of Daisy. I watched as the nation crumbled around me and only hoped that France went unaffected. When the letter came, I didn't feel half the amount of pity that she felt for herself.
